Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking Heavy Equipment Operators with a specific focus on Pipeline Integrity Digs,
Remediation/Reclamation, Environmental & Civil Construction, and Demolition & Decommissioning. The successful candidate is responsible for the day to day operation of equipment, general maintenance of equipment, and general labouring tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
• Safe and effective operation of heavy equipment including excavators and dozers
• Perform preventative maintenance, and daily operation checks
• Execute a variety of projects to the specifications of the customer, under the guidance of the site
supervisor and project manager
• Effectively collaborates with crew and customer to ensure mutually agreeable outcomes and
resolve any potential conflicts
• Acts independently with minimal supervision
• Perform general labourer tasks as required
• Safely Work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various
means of transportation

Qualifications and Education Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
• Direct experience in earthworks projects, oilfield waste management, pipeline integrity digs,
reclamation/remediation, civil construction, and/or oilfield construction.
• 3 years or 5,000 hours in Heavy Equipment Operation (Excavator, Dozer, Rock Truck etc.)
• Finishing experience is considered an asset
• Possession of a valid class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent) with a clean driving record
• Valid Safety Tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSTS, Ground Disturbance)
• Grade 12 or GED
• Intermediate computer skills to successfully utilize intranet resources, complete online safety
orientation, and HR onboarding tasks
• Physically fit, able to lift 50 pounds, and able to work on feet for long periods of time

• Rock Truck: 3 years (Preferred)
• Reclamation & Remediation: 3 years (Required)
